Program Goals and Objectives

The philosophy of the Master of Educational Leadership program is to develop leaders to achieve the following five learning goals:

Upon successfully completing the Master’s in Educational Leadership program our students will be successful in developing the following skills:

Promoting Social Equality through Educational Change:

  • Understand the role of educational systems in fostering economic, social, and political equality.
  • Analyze how being an agent of change contributes to liberation within educational contexts.

Collegiality and Collaboration:

  • Develop strong communication skills for engaging with diverse educational partners and communities.
  • Foster collaboration to bring together people and resources for positive changes in educational systems.

Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving:

  • Cultivate the ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas in educational settings.
  • Apply different modes of thought to address challenges and find dynamic solutions.
  • Prioritize educational issues and establish practical action plans for improved teaching and learning.

Managing and Leading Educational Systems and Resources:

  • Demonstrate a critical understanding of diverse technological strategies for facilitating both learning and administration.
