All credential program clinical practice/fieldwork must be completed in a district where the university has an approved Affiliation Agreement. Please visit the links below for more information.
Clinical and Student Teaching
Clinical Teaching at the University of La Verne is designed to be a seamless clinical experience for teacher candidates incorporating university coursework and on-site school clinical teaching experiences where the school-site clinical teacher and the teacher candidate become co-teachers and co-planners of the curriculum.
Intern Teaching
If you are approved for admission to the internship program, an academic eligibility letter can be written. If a school district makes an offer of employment in an internship position, the university must confirm the position and the school site. The University will also verify if the School-Site Support Provider meets the requirements for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Upon approval you will be guided through the internship credential application process. Interns must register in the Intern Teaching support course (EDUC 467 or SPED 459) every term/semester unless you are enrolled in Student Teaching.
