Program Goals and Objectives<\/b><\/h2>\n

The philosophy of the Master of Educational Leadership program is to develop leaders to achieve the following five learning goals:<\/p>\n

  • Social Contexts of Educational Systems<\/li>\n
  • Collegiality and Collaboration<\/li>\n
  • Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving<\/li>\n
  • Managing and Leading Educational Systems and Resources<\/li>\n
  • Developing an Equitable, Ethical Mindset with Integrity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Upon successfully completing the Master’s in Educational Leadership program our students will be successful in developing the following skills:<\/p>\n

    Promoting Social Equality through Educational Change: <\/b><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Understand the role of educational systems in fostering economic, social, and political equality.<\/li>\n
    • Analyze how being an agent of change contributes to liberation within educational contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Collegiality and Collaboration: <\/b><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Develop strong communication skills for engaging with diverse educational partners and communities.<\/li>\n
      • Foster collaboration to bring together people and resources for positive changes in educational systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving: <\/b><\/h3>\n
          \n
        • Cultivate the ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas in educational settings.<\/li>\n
        • Apply different modes of thought to address challenges and find dynamic solutions.<\/li>\n
        • Prioritize educational issues and establish practical action plans for improved teaching and learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Managing and Leading Educational Systems and Resources: <\/b><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • Demonstrate a critical understanding of diverse technological strategies for facilitating both learning and administration.<\/li>\n
          • Design and implement continuous professional development programs that leverage material and human resources effectively.<\/li>\n
          • Evaluate the impact of professional development on teaching and learning outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • Develop a leadership style rooted in ethical principles and integrity.<\/li>\n
