Admission Requirements

  1. A completed application with application fee.
  2. Official transcripts from all institutions attended.
  3. An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum of a 2.75 GPA.
  4. Personal Statement addressing the following:
    a. Why you are interested in pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership?
    b. How do you see your own leadership potential with regard to being a scholar/practitioner?
    c. Explain where you have the opportunity to apply theory to leadership practice in an organization.
    (Please limit your statement to 1,500 words max)
  5. Two letters of recommendation addressing the candidate’s academic capability to complete a doctoral program.
  6. A curriculum vitae or resume.
  7. Applicants must have five years of work experience post baccalaureate; one year of management/leadership experience is preferred.
  8. Currently employed in a PK-12th grade setting.   (Verification of employment letter)
  9. Documentation of one of the following:
    1. An earned Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from a regionally accredited university
    2. Preliminary Administrative Services Credential with documentation of program completion
    3. Or equivalent as determined by the program chair
