Our students develop capabilities to assume leadership roles in all facets of the child development field.<\/p>\n<p>Each course in the master\u2019s program in child and adolescent development is offered both on campus and online. Both delivery modes are identical in content and rigor and are offered on the semester schedule. Students in the program have the option of taking courses on campus, online, \u00a0or a combination of the two.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/admission\/graduate\/requirements\/\">Learn more about <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/admission\/graduate\/requirements\/\">program<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/admission\/graduate\/requirements\/\"> admission requirements.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Child and Adolescent Development Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p>The MS in Child and Adolescent Development consists of 33 units. Students select a concentration in early childhood or adolescence and complete a culminating activity. Courses are offered in late afternoons and evenings to accommodate the schedules of working students.<\/p>\n<p>See child and adolescent <a href=\"https:\/\/education.laverne.edu\/child-adolescent-development\/curriculum\/\">development curriculum.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Careers in Child and Adolescent Development<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The MS in Child and Adolescent Development can be applied to a wide variety of jobs. <\/strong>\u00a0Current educators in elementary school or middle and high school can use the program to enhance their skills and knowledge to become more effective in the classroom.
