Bilingual Authorizationfor Spanish Program

LaFetra College of Education offers our Bilingual Authorization: Spanish Authorization for Credentialed Teachers program (BILA). The BILA program is for holders of Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Educational Specialist teaching credentials and is designed to meet the growing need for dual language educators.

This program seamlessly aligns with your teaching schedule, allowing you to learn as you go. Its hands-on approach to curriculum development lets you apply new insights in your classroom right away, and the required fieldwork ensures you can put theory into practice.

  • Designed for teachers who currently hold a Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Educational Specialist Credential
  • Fieldwork includes immersion into a multilingual classroom, 21 hours of fieldwork experience required (7 hours per course)
